Aries Rail converted this Iveco Daily 70C17 for Bombardier Transportation as a re-railing equipment carrier for the Gold Coast light rail network.
By fitting the front hyrail equipment behind the front road axle, the vehicle remains fully compliant with ADR rules, in particular those relating to driver and passenger airbag requirements and pedestrian safety.
The re-railing equipment is carried in a demountable body which, is secured to the chassis using twist-locks.
The vehicle is fitted with the Aries Hyrail Control System to provide vigilance driver monitoring, on-screen diagnostics and full control of the hyrail and associated functions.
