Servicing has been determined from Aries Rail’s experience across all Australian Networks and from the obligations it has as an OEM.
Critical to improving fleet availability will be the ability of Aries Rail to balance maintenance activities during fleet downtimes. This is standard practice in its rollingstock fleet maintenance as it offers:
- Proven methodology successful in increasing reliability and reducing reactive (breakdown) maintenance activity
- Inherently reduces costs as scheduled tasks can be optimised and planned for, incurring no penalties associated with recovery costs
- Mobile access can be planned for and does not necessitate vehicles to be in a home depot or stabling area
- Potentially eliminates in service failures and the associated operational, project and performance costs
- Measurable and able to be assessed as part of a contracted maintenance performance regime
- Improved vehicle safety with issues addressed as they arise and dealt with out of service
