Aries rail are distributors for AMECA Engineering self-propelled portal cranes for rail and sleeper unloading and positioning during infrastructure construction.
200m of sleepers and rail can be unloaded from wagons and accurately laid in a little over an hour and a half. This results in a daily production rate of around 1.2km.
With lifting capacities up to 39,000kg the AMECA range of portal cranes provide class leading capabilities for precision positioning of track panels, turnouts and sleepers. Two machine can be operated simultaneously giving a combined lifting capacity of 78,000kg
By utilising telescopic support legs with crawler tracks, the cranes are able to negotiate rough terrain to access the work site.
The legs also allow for easy levelling and alignment of the load.
