Aries Rail recently delivered another pair of Aries Hyrail MAN flashbutt welding trucks to a client in Western Australia. At 41 tonnes they are among the biggest road-rail vehicles in Australia.

The unusual but effective cabin access steps were fitted at the client’s request and can be easily lifted on and off as required. If the operator forgets to remove the steps before lowering the truck onto its road wheels, the steps are designed to move up and fall away from the truck to prevent damage to the truck steps or bodywork. The container access steps were also supplied by Aries Rail and fold-up in a manner inspired by those on small passenger aircraft.

Aries Rail have built multiple MAN flashbutt welding trucks and the platform has proven itself to be a safe and reliable base for road-rail vehicle conversions. With factory backed technical support from MAN, the Aries Hyrail control system is integrated with the truck to provide numerous driver and operator safety functions.
